In anticipaiton of an upcoming single release entitled Mike Tyson, I collaborated with model and rapper TSI. This shoot was shoot in the stairwell and rooftop of an apartment building in the South Bronx.
Premise
The photoshoot follows a female boxer getting ready for a big fight in the backstage of the ring and follows her to rooftop of the venue.
Execution
In this shoot we wanted to combine tough gritty elements of boxing with the soft attractive elements of the model to create a unique juxtaposion of the two. This was achived in a few ways, using soft directinal lighting to illuminate the model this included the florescent light bars in the stairwell as well as a rgb panel light to simulate florescent lighting and red exit sign. This combined with strong grain in post production and a soft filert attached to the lens enable us to achieve the desired look.
